Property Insurance

Building

Provides coverage on buildings as well as permanently installed fixtures and machinery and equipment.  Outdoor fixtures and personal property owned by the insured and used to maintain or service the building, such as fire extinguishing equipment, outdoor furniture, floor coverings and appliances used for refrigeration, ventilating, cooking, etc. 

Business Personal Property

Provide coverage on the contents owned by the business.  This included furniture, fixtures, machinery and equipment and stock. 

Business Income

Provides coverage for loss of income and loss of rents as a result of a covered loss.  This coverage also provides extra expense coverage for those necessary expenses, over and above normal operating costs, incurred in order to continue, as nearly as practicable, the normal operations of your business. 

Builders Risk

Provides coverage for all materials, supplies, equipment, machinery and fixtures that are owned by the insured or similar property of others in the care, custody and control of the insured for which he is legally liable and are to be installed or have been installed in the new structure.  This policy provides coverage while at the property and in transit to and from the covered property. 

Boiler & Machinery

Provides coverage on boilers, pressure vessels, piping, mechanical and electrical machines, including air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and electrical apparatus.

Inland Marine Insurance

Electronic Data Processing (EDP)

Provides coverage for computer hardware, software and extra expense coverage in connection with this property.  Most policies include coverage for Computer Virus and Mechanical Breakdown. 

Installation Floater

Covers machinery and equipment while in transit, and during installation and testing at the purchaser's premises.  The policy provides coverage until the installation is accepted by the purchaser. 

Equipment Floater

Provides coverage for tools and equipment, both scheduled and unscheduled, as well as scheduled Contractors Equipment.

Liability Insurance

General Liability

Provides liability coverage for the insured premises and operations as well as their products and completed operations liability.  The policy includes limited contractual liability for written contracts, host liquor liability, incidental medical malpractice, non-owned watercraft liability, employees are covered as additional insured and any newly acquired organization for 90 days.  The policy is rated based on either payroll, receipts or area depending on the classification of the operations. 

Garage Liability

Provides liability coverage for repair garages, new and used car sales and various other business related to the automobile business.  This policy can provide liability coverage for the premises, the automobiles held for sale or the customers vehicles in the care of the garage. 

Employee Benefits Liability

Will pay those sums that the insured becomes legally obligated to pas as damages sustained by an employee, former employee or beneficiary because of "wrongful acts" committed in the administration of the insured's employee benefit program. 

Employment Related Practices

Provides coverage for Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Wrongful Termination.

Automobile

Liability

Provides Bodily Injury and Property Damage for all owned, hired and non-owned automobiles.  Non-owned liability provides coverage for the insured employees who use their personal automobiles on company business.  The employees personal automobile policy provides liability and physical damage coverage for their vehicles and the non-owned coverage provides coverage for the insured, should (s)he be sued as a result of the employees accident. 

Other Coverages

Medical Payments, Uninsured Motorists, Comprehensive and Collision, Rental Reimbursement, Towing and Labor and Drive Other Car Liability.

Umbrella

Provides excess liability limits over the general liability, automobile liability and employers liability under the Workers Compensation policy.  The policy protects from some exclusions and gaps in coverage under the primary policies as well as worldwide coverage.

Workers Compensation

Provides coverage for injuries to employees while on the job for either medical treatment or lost time from work.  Medical expenses are paid at 100%.  Loss of wages is paid based on 80% of the after-tax average weekly wage subject to a maximum of $441.  per week.  There is a seven day waiting period for indemnity payments.  An employee must be out of work for seven days before payment is made for his/her lost time.  (S)he must be out over 14 days in order for the indemnity payments to be retroactive back to the date of injury and payment to be made for the first seven days of lost time.

Professional Liability

This can include Errors and Omissions coverage for various types of professional exposures such as Real Estate, Architects, Doctors, Dentists, Computer Programmers, and Insurance Agents. 

Directors and Officers Liability

Insurers corporate directors and officers against claims, usually by stockholders' alleging loss arising from mismanagement.
